about

In March 2015, I went on a mission trip to Trinidad. That trip changed my life and set me on a course of radical life-change and growth, ultimately inspiring the creation of Where Feet May Fail. It was a major “step of faith” to begin work on this album because I had never done anything like it before.

Each song on this album tells a story. I never realized it along the way, but making this album allowed me to capture my spiritual growth in music, moment by moment and season by season. The album ultimately concludes with Doxology because through it all, God remained so faithful. This album and the songs on it would not exist if it weren’t for his provision and favor through the whole process. “Praise God from whom all blessings flow,“ as the original hymn says.

My vision for Where Feet May Fail is that it would help you feel less alone in your struggles as you hear the songs that came out of my own struggles. When you’re struggling with anxiety, I want Peace Like A River or Oxygen to bring you comfort just as they did for me. When you feel alone because your friends went out without you again, I want You’re Still Here to remind you of God’s constant love for you, just as it did for me. These songs don’t have words so that you can interpret them as you please and call them your own. Listen to them when you’re painting or writing or driving. Let them inspire you.

Overall, I want this music to help you feel the love of your Heavenly Father. This album documents my discovery of His unconditional love and unfailing faithfulness, and I desire for you to feel that love firsthand. He loves us so much. This album wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for his kind, steady hand guiding me and keeping me above the waters.
